Cactus-infested Caspers - FAVORITE HIKE SO FAR!

Hey Kiddos!

Erin and I hiked Caspers Wilderness Park in San Juan Capistrano today! It was one of the longer hikes we've done thus far! The map of the trails we followed is above (in blue).

This Park was super easy to find, and parking was a wonderful $5 - cheapest parking yet!! Once you pay for parking, you take the asphalt road ALLLLLL the way to the end... we passed quite a few campsites before arriving at the parking lot.

I can't say enough good things about Caspers, it was clean, had wide SANDY trails (ask me how dirty I got hahaha!), very quiet, beautiful views, and surrounded by sandstone canyons and fall-colored trees. Apparently wildlife is abundant here, but we didn't see any :(

We reached an elevation of 300 feet at the largest incline, one steep downhill descent, and the rest of the hike were small up's and down's over rolling hills - a great workout!!

Erin's got some excellent pictures! I LOVED this hike, but I'll let you know if I can move tomorrow LOL!!

Until next time, hikers!
